Classic Collection
Quite an extensive Classic series of Victorinox Swiss Army Watches includes an impressive number of timepieces. It has 11 sub-sections which are named: Infantry Vintage, Infantry, Chrono Classic, Chrono Classic XLS, Alliance, Alliance Sport, Maverick GS, Officer’s, Victoria, Vivante and Ambassador. Even the listing of sub-collections requires some time. If you take in consideration that every single of these sub-collections includes quite a few models, you will start to get the picture of the magnitude of the entire collection.
With so many models, it only comes natural that there will be various features. Still, let us first mention the common traits of the watches in the series, though there are not many of these. The universal characteristics are the shapes which are always round, as well as the use of resilient glare-proof sapphire crystals as the guards of their faces.
However, there are much more dissimilarities. They reflect in the choice of movements: certain models have (again various types of) self-winding mechanisms, while others have quartz modules. Most models are analog, but some combine analog and digital display. The steel cases are made in various sizes. Likewise, the bezels are not alike; they can be fixed and rotational. Some of the sub-sections comprise of female and some of male watches. They are equipped with various functions, and can include chronographs, second time zones, EOL indication, and various types of date displays. Besides, the differences can be seen in the colors of dials and in materials used for their bracelets.
