In 2013 Victorinox is broadening its offer with several new series. The Maverick collection is one of these newly introduced ranges of products. The new collection so far includes just a few models, but there are already some recognizable shared traits. As the insight in the series shows, Maverick pieces by Victorinox are medium or smaller sized and equipped with Swiss-made quartz movement that does not provide many additional features to accompany the main timekeeping function.
The Maverick collection is entirely constructed with cases made of stainless steel, which is quite expected for the manufacturer that has the contraction for stainless steel in its name (the “inox” part of Victorinox is derived from the French word for stainless). There are two standard sizes of watches: while men’s timepieces are made with the width of 43 mm, the ladies’ pieces come with the diameter of 34 mm. However, the design of timepieces makes them look more unisex, regardless of the size.
These watches by Victorinox Swiss Army are working thanks to the inclusion of Swiss-made Ronda or ETA quartz movements. Characterized with longevity and the ability to run for several years, they rarely offer any additional functions except the date display. The timekeepers from the Maverick series are available in several dial colors, as well as with different colored coatings for the steel components. Though mostly constructed with the bracelets in steel, there are also some timepieces from the series that are joined with rubber straps.
