TAG Heuer Golf Watch

After 9 years of very successful partnership with Tiger Woods, TAG Heuer ended its endorsement agreement with the famous golfer, when their multi-million contract expired in July 2011. Since Woods has been deeply engaged in designing and promoting several watch lines, it is clear that some changes have been necessary, especially with the Professional Golf Watch line which was closely connected with the brand’s ex-ambassador.

Tag Heuer even earlier suspended the use of Woods’ image in the USA, following a negative publicity about his personal life. Professional Golf watches are no longer in the brand’s catalog and instead, there is a Professional Sports Watch which is, basically the same model, only without the nice golf ball textured dial (it is flat and black instead) and with a different inscription on it (Professional Sports).

Woods and Tag Heuer had spent two years, mixing professional golf knowledge and superb watchmaking skills before the world’s first Professional Golf Watch was launched, in 2005.
