TAG Heuer Aquaracer
Following an ambitious goal to fulfill the requirements of professional deep-sea divers, Tag Heuer developed a high-quality diving watch collection, with various models that are capable to resist extreme condition under water. Besides, watches from the Aquaracer Collection are highly functional and easy-to-use, which makes them very popular among modern men and women with dynamic life styles, especially among those who are passionate lovers of water-sports.
The Swiss watchmaker has a long tradition of making water-proof timepieces. It started in 1895, with the first water-proof case, patented by Heuer Company. After 55 years Heuer launched the Mareograph, the world’s first chronograph with tide indicators. The largest influence on the Aquaracer Collection has been left by the 2000 collection, TAG Heuer’s first professional diving watch line from 1982.
Today, the Aquaracer Collection features various bold looking sport watches and chronographs, powered either with a self-winding mechanism or with a quartz movement. In both cases, these timepieces passed rigorous tests to insure great performances under water. Thus, some models are water resistant even up to 500 meters. Besides, there are other important scuba-diving features, such as a helium escapement valve, an oversized screw-in crown with double gaskets, a unidirectional turning bezel, luminescent hands and markers, a double security clasp bracelet with a diving extension system, etc.
The super-quality Aquaracer 500M Caibre 5 Automatic watch became very popular, thanks to a Hollywood star and the brand’s ambassador, Leonardo Di Caprio.
