Ananta Collection
A long Japanese tradition of sword-making inspired the best Seiko’s craftsmen to create these high-quality watches with the unique construction. By using ancient skills, based on precision, sharpness, artistry and parabolic bends, the renowned Japanese watchmaker developed the Ananta Collection which perfectly represents the brand’s devotion to the infinite perfection.
Ananta is a Sanskrit term for ‘the infinite’ and it is quite clear what the Japanese watchmaker meant by it. The 800-year old art of Katana sword-making that nicely expresses many aspects of Japanese culture, manifests itself through the beautiful design of Ananta watches.
As the result of a special process of ‘blade’ polishing in three stages, every case of Ananta timepieces has an amazingly flat surface. During the process, each watch has been polished manually by the brand’s most skilled craftsmen.
The sides of a case have a distinct parabolic curve and the sharp point of Katana. Besides, the legibility of a dial is radically increased, thanks to the great sharpness of hands and hour markers. Finally, this amazing sporty design is perfectly followed by Seiko’s advanced technologies (Spring Drive and automatic chronographs). Recently, Seiko launched the Ananta Automatic Chronograph Diver’s watches.
