Since it had worked more than 5 decades for Royal Italian Navy, it is normal that Officine Panerai developed the reputation of a brand that always puts functionality on the first place. High durability, tough constructions, superb readability in extreme situations, and precise mechanical movements with long-lasting power-reserves have always been standards from which Panerai did not depart. Besides, the unique and elegant design simplicity of Panerai’s watches became the brand’s trademark that has been preserved until today.
Extending its production on the civil market, Panerai has reached the worldwide popularity, which requires the higher versatility of its products. In order to reach the most demanding clientele for its hi-end pieces, the Italian watchmaker developed the Specialities Collection.
This luxury collection features two top-prized models with tourbillon complications, completely developed in-house: Panerai Radiomir Tourbillon GMT and Luminor 1950 Tourbillon GMT. It is interesting that Panerai did not expose its tourbillon complication by making skeletonized timepieces. This great complication is just partly visible through a sapphire crystal case back. Another great piece in the Specialities Collection is Luminor 1950 Chrono Monopulsante 8 Days, characteristic by a single push chronograph button.
