Saint-Imier based watchmaker Longines offers sport watches in one of its four major categories. These dynamic timepieces are made mostly for water sports and diving, which is followed with necessary resistance and necessary features. There is a great diversity among the watches from the series and they can be constructed from various materials, intended for men or for women, equipped with a mechanical or a quartz movement which can be supplied with chronograph or some other features. The range of Longines Watches is divided into three large sub-sections with the names: Hydroconquest, Conquest and Admiral.
Hydroconquest line of timekeepers consists of diving watches with water resistance of 300 meters. In order to achieve high resilience to pressure, the watches are made with screw-down case backs and screw-in crowns with protections on the sides. Another diving trait of these models is the presence of aluminum unidirectional bezels. The dials can be black or blue, while the wristlets are mostly made from steel. The other option for bracelet is a rubber strap. This sub-collection of the Sport series includes watches with both quartz and automatic mechanical movements which are in some instances made with chrono functions.
Conquest sub-range of the Longines Sport timepieces consists of sporty watches made with attention to detail. This is visible in the execution of their cabochon crowns and ceramic links that are often used in various models. Ceramic bezels are also utilized quite often, just like the ones made of stainless steel. The line includes timepieces for ladies and for gentlemen in a palette of styles. The Conquest range includes cases made of steel, steel combined with gold, and gold cases. Some of the watches are decorated with a multitude of diamonds. The diameters are also different among the products from the collection. This is also the case with the type of the movement and the inclusion of a chronograph feature. The wristlets that are available for these watches are three-link metal bracelets (with material that matches the case and sometimes made with ceramic links) and black alligator straps. The section of Longines timekeepers can include water resistance between 50 and 300 meters.
The third sub-series of the Sport Collection is dubbed Admiral and it consists of robust wristwatches. Unlike in the previous cases, some of these watches have second 24-hour time zone displays. The section completely consists of timekeepers with self-winding mechanical calibers, fitted into steel cases that sometimes pair up with ceramic bezels. Besides, some of the watches include chrono features, while others do not. Admiral Collection, like all the other lines of products in the Sport series, is made of round-shaped watches that have sapphire crystals.
