Watches from the Akula Reserve series were originally a part of Reserve collection, but as time went by, these products claimed their position as a separate collection. This lineage currently involves three round models with quartz movements and predominantly in darker colors.
Watches from the Akula Reserve collection include circular shaped cases made of stainless steel. In some instances, steel is ionic or gold plated. Two of the models that are available are substantial in size and have the diameters of 52 mm. The third model, Akula Reserve Midsize, conveniently has a description of its size in its name. The smaller watch in the series is made with the diameter of 44 mm.
One of the features shared in all of the models in the collection is their glasses, made of flame-fusion crystals. All products are crafted with Swiss-made quartz movements. One of the models comes with a chronograph, while two others offer GMT options, useful for frequent travelers. Besides, two latter wristwatches have interesting asymmetric dials with large retrograde date displays. Speaking of dials, they are all in darker tones: black, brown, blue or gray.
The difference among the products from the series is displayed in the different types of bracelets used. The straps used in the series are high-grade rubber (with butterfly buckles), silicon bands and croco-pattern leather with fish bone stitching. Despite its ferocious name “Akula” (Russian for shark), products from the collection are water resistant to (just) 100 meters.
