One of the most abundant series of Fossil Watches, the Dress series, includes so many styles and dissimilarities, that it is quite difficult to notice the common traits among them. The collection even includes one automatic mechanical timepiece with a skeleton dial. However, all others are with quartz mechanisms. In spite of the diversity, the cost of these timepieces is fitting for every budget. The mechanical piece is the most expensive, but still just under $200. All other watches can be bought for the price that is in the vicinity of $100.
The predominant shape of cases is circular, but some in the series are rectangular. The housings are made from stainless steel, but can involve decorative finishes, such as bronze, rose gold, yellow gold or black ionic plating. Each of the watches is with a mineral crystal which contributes to its affordability, but can compromise the toughness of a display. The dials are available in so many colors that it is quite safe to say that all tastes and preferences are covered. Quite a few of them are inspired by the retro look, characteristic for the ‘50s and the ‘60s of the twentieth century. These watches are paired with steel, rubber or leather straps.
