Watches from the Aqualand series by Citizen are specialized products made for divers. The first wristwatches from the collection, intended for underwater adventurers, were made back in 1985. The current watches in the series are dubbed 20th Anniversary Edition (though that anniversary passed long time ago) and they are the first products in the lineage that are equipped with the brand’s trademark Eco-Drive technology which includes a rechargeable solar battery.
Currently, there are three quartz watches in the collection. Each of them has a combined analog-digital face and a stainless steel case with 48 mm in diameter and the thickness of 15 mm. Since they are diving watches, they also possess water resistance to 200 meters and more than a few useful tools that can help its wearer during the dive. Those functions are depth display, measurements of maximum depth and the duration of time spent under water, dive log memory that keeps track for up to 20 dives, as well as indications for water temperature and surface interval.
Besides, each of the models includes three alarms, electro-luminescent backlighting and the indication of battery charge which is of critical significance to divers. One of the models has a world time feature. The price of models from the Aqualand collection is between $600 and $625.
