In order to create the brand’s most refined collection, the Artistic Director of the renowned Swiss manufacturer, Octavio Garcia, took design codes from neo-classical aesthetics and combined them with the pure oval form of Coliseum in Rome. Besides, he studded some brand’s iconic models from the Audemars Piguet Museum’s collection, discovering timeless elegance and unsurpassed style that he nicely implemented into the new contemporary line of high-end watches.
Immediately after the first “Audemars Piguet’s timepiece for the Third Millenium” had been born in 2007, the prestigious Swiss watchmaker realized the great potential the stylish Millenary Collection had. It was the Millenary Deadbeat Seconds watch that was a refined successor of a Tradition d’Excellence Cabinet No. 5 watch from 2005. The unique oval form gave designers more creative freedom to experiment with new designs and to combine them with remarkable technological solutions.
In 2008, Audemars Piguet launched the wonderful Millenary Pianoforte. Soon after, it presented its masterpieces – a Millenary MC 12 Tourbillon Chronograph, a Millenary Ciel Etolie and a Millenary Minute Repeater. Featuring the signature off-centered dial with classic looking Roman numerals, each timepiece from this stunning line provides the clear look at a cutting-edge mechanism, specially made and decorated for the collection.
