The inner beauty becomes the art form with the new Ulysse Nardin Skeleton watch. Royal Python Skeleton Tourbillon perfectly combines innovation and exoticism, thus bringing an amazing complexity of its ancestors to the completely new level.
The beating heart of the Royal Python Skeleton Tourbillon is the in-house manufactured caliber UN-170 manually-wound movement equipped with an escapement wheel and a silicium balance spring. It offers 170 hours of autonomy when fully wound. The impeccable mechanism boasts hand painted bridges and bears a motif Royal python. The movement is compiled on the 23 jewels and has the frequency of 18,000 alternations per hour (2.5 Hz).
The apparently infinite maze of individual movements, components and bridges are reduced to the bare essentials. Furthermore, a tourbillon complication has been added to the mechanics of the watch escapement, to provide even more precision and reliability. The tourbillon, suspended in its cage, is situated at the 6 o’clock position.
Ulysse Nardin Royal Python Skeleton Tourbillon (ref. 1706-129/08) is housed in an elegant 18-karat rose gold case which measures 44mm in diameter. The case is shielded with antireflective sapphire crystals and it is proven to be water resistant up to 30 meters (approximately 100 feet). From the rear, the watch features a sapphire crystal case back which shows the bottom size of the mechanism.
The flange of the case is also painted with the Royal python motif to evoke the skin of a snake, but also to sport a green python strap that nicely rounds up the serpent skin inspired aesthetic of the newest Ulysse Nardin Skeleton wristwatch.
The Le Locle-based watch manufacturer issued the new Royal Python Skeleton Tourbillon in the ultra-limited series comprising only 18 pieces worldwide.
Ulysse Nardin is one of the leading watchmakers which gained a reputation for displaying high-quality craftsmanship and the finest technology.
