To commemorate its 170th year of fine mechanical watchmaking, Ulysse Nardin unveils a limited edition of its Classico Collection timepiece with a gorgeous Grand Feu Enamel dial.
The 170th Anniversary Limited Edition Classico Manufacture (ref. 3203-136LE-2/E0) is powered with the in-house manufactured caliber UN-320 which has been entirely conceived and developed by the Swiss manufacture. The impeccable movement features a silicium hairspring and anchor escapement that deliver outstanding precision. The self-winding mechanism is built on 39 jewels, oscillates at the semi-rapid frequency of 21,600 alternation per hour (3 Hz) and is capable to provide no less than 2 days (48 hours) of power reserve. The sapphire crystal case back reveals the inner beauty of the watch.
The movement is housed in a classically-designed stainless steel case measuring 40mm in diameter and just 9.60mm in thickness. The anniversary watch is proven to be water resistant up to 30 meters (about 100 feet).
Underneath the front sapphire glass lies a shimmering Grand Feu enamel dial which has been handcrafted in-house at Donzé Cadrans, a member of the Ulysse Nardin group of companies, and a renowned specialist in the traditional decorative technique which began to be used in the 17th century.

The process of Grand Feu enamel took its name from the extreme heat (between 760 and 900° C) required to fuse the enamel powder in the kiln.
