Tissot has launched a special edition timepiece named T-Touch Expert Solar NBA to honor one of the most significant partnerships in its history.
The most sophisticated model in the T-Touch series which celebrates Tissot’s partnership with the National Basketball Association is presented in two versions: a gold-colored and a cool gray one. From the rear, the famous NBA logo is engraved, thus making this special edition a true collector’s item.
This high-tech and extremely stylish Tissot’s novelty is a part of the special line of tactile watches, tooled with a touch-screen, and powered by solar energy. The watch face incorporates a solar charger that collects the sun rays hitting its surface in order to supply electricity for charging the battery.
This multi-functional timepiece features 20 advanced features, such as a chronograph, a compass, a meteo, an altimeter with difference meter, a thermo, two alarms, a second time zone, a perpetual calendar, an altitude difference meter, a backlight, a countdown timer, regatta, day and week indicator, etc.
The black carbon fiber face of the T-Touch Expert Solar NBA timepiece is distinguished by the red-arrow tip of the minute hand. The watch is housed in an antimagnetic titanium case with either rose gold or white gold PVD treatment. The case measures 45mm in diameter and it is able to dive to the depths of 100 meters (approximately 330 feet).
Tissot T-Touch Expert Solar NBA Special Edition Watch is attached to a black, rubber strap, ending with a folding clasp with push-buttons. Depending on the model, the watch comes with the retail price of $1,075 (for gray model) and $1,150 (for the gold-colored one). The ultra-functional timepiece was officially introduced during the Baselworld 2016 watch show.
The Le Locle-based manufacturer has always been associated with the world of sports. Tissot has timed many of the most important sporting events in the world, so far. The watchmaker’s biggest partnership was announced in October 2015, when the National Basketball Association (NBA) signed its new multiyear global partnership with the Swiss watchmaking company. This is the first time ever that the NBA has ever had its Official Timekeeper.
