The Sea Touch – hi tech under the water
The sophisticated technology at the fingertips. You can easily guess that we are talking about Tissot T-touch line of watches. Even if you want to use some of your favorite hi-tech features under the water, Tissot gives a perfect solution – the Sea-Touch watch.
As a matter of fact, this complex and wonderful gadget from Tissot will look cool and eccentric on your wrist, whether you are real diving lover or just a man with an active life style and great taste for sport watches.
For those who attend to use it for diving activities, Tissot offers a real pleasure, combining the superb functionality with the ‘easy to use’ touch screen interface.
In order to rely on diving functions more easily, Swatch (Tissot is a part of Swatch Group) removed the barometer and altimeter from the ETA E48.351 movement, of the Tissot T-Touch Expert, and replaced it with an underwater depth gauge and diving log meter in ETA E48.301. The new features show instant depth, dive duration as well as variometer indicating the speed of descent and ascent.
200 meters waterproof
Sea-Touch also incorporates a digital chronograph, alarm, thermometer, perpetual calendar, compass and diver’s logbook.
All the functions can be activated by the touch at receptive sapphire crystal, while the watch hands display the measurements in coordination with the LCD screen. Highly luminescent material and an effective backlight provide great visibility.
Its 200 meters water resistance and a fact that all diving norms – luminosity, shock resistance, anti-magnetism, band solidity and the integration of a time control device – are fulfilled with this great timepiece, make Tissot Sea-Touch perfect for diving activities.
This fashion styling watch, made of stainless steel, you can find in orange, blue, white, and black color combinations. Metal bracelet is also available.
Fantastic watch. I have it several years and can say that it has never disappointed me. I have black one with rubber band. This watch looks terrific in almost every occasion. It’s interesting that I had never tried to dive before I bought this watch. However, I simply couldn’t resist to experiment with my Tissot under the water. I took lessons and now can’t wait for summer to dive. So, can say that this watch helped me find my big passion.
Wow, I was looking for something like this. Thanks guys.
Hey hey there. But isn’t this a 10bar/100m watch?
No, Alvin, as I have written, the Sea-Touch is water resistant up to 200 m. The incorrect information on Tissot’s website makes confusion. However, if you look at a caseback of the watch, you will see 200m (660 ft) inscription. Water-resistance of 100 meters is usual for some other watches in the T-Touch collection. As a diving watch, the Sea-Touch comes with a serious improvement.
Hey Eliot, so I guess it’s Tissot’s own site that causes some slight confusion among us prospective buyers. Thanks for the info though. (:
I was confused with a same thing too. It hasn’t looked like a serious diving watch with such a low level of resistance. What’s more, contradictory informations on Internet haven’t been of any help. Just when I’d sown the photo of a caseback, I became sure 100 percent.
I’ve never dived so deep, but it’s 200 meters, believe me, I have it on my wrist right now. At this point of the technological progress, this t-touch technology doesn’t look so impressive, but, to me, it is still pretty cool and must say that I enjoy wearing it, especially in the water. It almost makes you feel like a boy with some special powers.
