Inspired by the ancient Chinese Yin-Yang symbol, this ladies’ watch has been presented as the most refined Tag Heuer’s creation ever. A new Formula 1 Lady Yin Yang is one-of-a-kind timepiece that represents the mixture of the great idea, perfect execution and the breathtaking glamour.
The Yin-Yang symbol describes continual interconnection and interdependence between polar opposites in the natural world, which permanently gives rise to each other in turn, and thus cannot exist otherwise. The Swiss watchmaker used this ancient philosophical principle as the main motif for its new Formula 1 Lady watch that has been recently presented at the exhibition in Geneva.
The Yin-Yang symbol is presented on a dial, in such a marvelous way that has required exceptional skills and creativity. The dial is completely set with 245 brilliant cut diamonds. Black diamonds represent Yin, while white sparkling stones are used for Yang. Each sized manually to fit ideally, these round diamonds which spherical cut maximizes brilliance and scintillation, form the meaningful symbol that even goes over the edge of the dial and spreads its white and black colors on the bezel and the bracelet.
Another exceptional touch of luxury comes with 234 baguette cut diamonds which beautify the bezel and the bracelet with their straight, sharp lines and “step cut” geometric form. These baguette diamonds also form the nicely shaped brand’s shield at the 12 o’clock position. The total weight of the precious stones is 7.36 karats.
The combination of symmetries and asymmetries in the design is something that makes Tag Heuer Formula 1 Lady Yin Yang watch striking and unconventional, even though it is significantly smaller than watches from the last year’s Formula 1 Steel and Ceramic edition (41 mm case) and even smaller than the older model (Formula One Glamour Diamonds watch, with a 37 mm case). The latest Tag Heuer’s creation comes with a feminine, 32 mm case, made of 136 grams of 18 karat white gold. Crafted in polished black ceramic, the central link of the bracelet continues a beautiful black and white contrast, together with two rows of sparkling stones that surround it.
As the renowned Swiss watchmaker mentioned, so far the brand’s most glamorous watch “is a fitting tribute to Maria Sharapova, and TAG Heuer’s ideal of feminine glamour that she represents”.
