TAG Heuer launches the fourth men’s limited edition, specially dedicated to Singapore Formula 1 Grand Prix. The Carrera Heritage Calibre 16 Automatic Chronographs come in only 250 pieces. For the same occasion, Tag Heuer has also created a Limited Edition of a Formula 1 Lady Ceramic Chronograph. They are available only in Singapore.
The latest Carrera Heritage Calibre 16 Automatic Chronograph is another great racing watch edition in the year of the brand’s “150 Years of Mastering Speed” celebration. Basically, it is the same as the Carrera Heritage watch line that was presented earlier this year, at Basel watch show. However, the new chronograph comes with some distinctive features that connect it with the earlier Singapore Grand Prix models (Grand Carrera Calibre 8 GMT, Carrera Day Date Calibre 16 and Monaco Calibre 12).
An interesting combination of black and green colors on the dial and the leather strap makes this watch unique. Green details are implied to associate on the illuminated night track in Singapore. Besides, the new Tag Heuer’s watch features the colored TAG Heuer logo that was common for the 1980’s and the 1990’s models.
Reinterpretation of Icons from the Past
Tag Heuer Carrera Heritage timepieces are inspired by the iconic racing model from 1964. They present the beautiful interpretation of vintage elements – a highly polished case, striking hour numerals and a nicely designed black dial, with a “flinqué” effect. It features three chronograph sub-dials: the 30 minutes counter is at the 12 o’clock position, the 12 hours counter takes the 6 o’clock position, while the small seconds sub-dials is located at the 9 o’clock position. A date window is at the 6 o’clock position.
Carrera Heritage Calibre 16 Automatic Chronograph for Singapore Grand Prix has a polished stainless steel case, with the diameter of 41 mm. It matches a black alligator strap with a green stitching, which incorporates a solid steel folding clasp, with safety push buttons. The watch has solid water-resistance up to 100 meters (330 feet).
A fixed bezel is also made of steel and it is highly polished. Curved, scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective treatment covers both sides of the case. This makes the caseback transparent, which allows you to enjoy the open view on the Calibre 16 self-winding mechanism.
If you manage to find this beautiful racing chronograph watch, somewhere in Singapore, it will be yours for S$6,350.
