Ulysse Nardin unveils three new Jade “Grand Feu” models and two new Jade “Cloisonné” editions, decorated with rare enameling techniques.
Each of three new Jade “Grand Feu” timepieces is carefully traced with a guilloché technique, thus creating wavy furrows which start from the center and extend to the chapter ring. The stunningly rich enamel meets the swirl of diamonds across the watch’s dial and on the stainless steel bezel. The gorgeous dial features stylized indexes which are easy to read, thus revealing Jade’s practical nature. There is also a small date window set at the 6 o’clock position which is nicely rounded by the twisting curve of diamonds on the continuous seconds.
The Grand Feu enamelling technique which has been used in creation of these beautiful pieces involves the metal being placed in fire several times to keep an even and shining surface of color. Depending on the version, there is a blue turquoise, ruby red or gray green color. The beautiful dial is enhanced with a metal arabesque pattern which consists of 22 diamonds which graciously embraces the second sub-dial. This stunning pattern begins at the 9 o’clock position and finishes at the 6 o’clock position just below the date aperture. At the center of the dial, two openwork hands show hours and the minutes by moving across an hour rim partly made up of large Arabic numerals.
Furthermore, these exceptional newcomers are equipped with the innovative crown meaning that no pulling is necessary to wind the timepiece, adjust the time, or set the date backwards or forwards. Everything can easily be done by a simple turn. A delicate crown position indicator on the dial shows to the future owner of the watch which setting she is adjusting.
The Swiss manufacturer offers three versions of Jade “Grand Feu” watch and there is a choice among a stunning turquoise model, the red ruby one and the mysterious gray one, each teamed up with a matching leather strap.
Ulysse Nardin also presented two unique “Cloisonné” enamel wristwatches. The first one is the Jade “Lionfish” in 18-karat rose gold, while the second one is dubbed Jade “Jellyfish” and it comes in 18-karat white gold case.
Both Ulysse Nardin Jade Grand Feu and Jade Cloisonne editions are powered with the caliber UN-310 mechanical movements. The impeccable self- winding mechanism incorporates Silicium parts for improved precision and durability. The 41 jewels mechanism is capable to store enough energy to keep the watch working for about 2 days (48 hours).
The new Ulysse Nardin’s timepieces are housed in oval cases, measuring 36 x 39mm. The case is enhanced with 56 diamonds which will delight all female customers.
