Swiss luxury watchmaker, Parmigiani Fleurier, has presented several new timepieces at the 23rd Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH) in Geneva. Every Parmigiani Fleurier watch is hand-crafted by skilled artisans, each of them taking at least four hundred hours to be created. All their watches ensure the highest quality of craftsmanship and material. Today, I will present you the new Parmigiani Fleurier Collection.
Parmigiani Toric Quaestor Labyrinthe
I will start with the symbolic creation – Parmigiani Toric Quaestor Labyrinthe. In the creation of this watch, Parmigiani Fleurier was inspired by the Greek mythology and the architect Daedalus who, according to the legend, has created the labyrinth to incarcerate the Minotaur. Although over time this symbolic cultural theme has taken on a great number of meanings in different cultures, its mysterious nature still has continued to fascinate.

The Toric Quaestor Labyrinthe contains a minute repeater which uses several special design features to produce an exceptionally pure melody. A minute repeater is hidden under a two-layer dial: a disc of green Burmese jade and an open-worked white gold plate. Together they form the visual labyrinth. Each segment length or contour in the labyrinth is beveled by hand and it took more than 35 hours of work for the complete finishing process.
Parmigiani Toric Quaestor Labyrinthe is powered by the in-house manufactured PF357 hand-wound movement which provides full 72 hours of power reserve. The movement is integrated into the case with greater stability thanks to an additional fixing point. A small piece situated below the chime links the pawl of the chime to the case, thus ensuring that it is perfectly fixed. Also, it allows the sound to reverberate without any interference from the vibrations.

The mechanism also has a flywheel, which is a great innovation. Not only that it ensures the constant supply of energy to the spring, but it also allows the minute repeater to operate without any mechanical humming. This device ensures total mechanical silence, leaving only the sound of the melodious chime each time it is struck.
The last, but not the least, the large-sized platinum case with the diameter of 46mm is specially designed to provide ideal acoustics which allow the sound waves to oscillate at the perfect frequencies.
This Parmigiani is produced in an ultra limited quantity of only 5 pieces. Each of them is accessorized with Hermès alligator strap with a knurled 18-karats gold ardillon buckle. I have almost forgotten to mention, there is also a sapphire cabochon set on the crown.
Parmigiani Pershing Abyss Tourbillon
This week, the Swiss manufacturer also presents the new Parmigiani Fleurier Pershing Tourbillon Abyss. This Pershing haute horlogerie model is housed in a titanium case with the diameter of 45mm and the thickness of 14.2mm. Its polished case incorporates a satin finished 18-karats rose gold unidirectional bezel. Its case is coated with anti-reflective sapphire crystals and provides water resistance of 100 meters (330 feet).

Parmigiani Pershing Abyss Tourbillon is fitted with an alligator strap in indigo blue with a folding buckle.
Parmigiani Toric Tecnica Samba and Parmigiani Toric Tecnica Minos
The visitors of the SIHH 2013 have opportunity to see two gorgeous Parmigiani Toric Tecnica models: Samba and Minos. Parmigiani’s Toric line is known for comprising some of the most complex pieces, as well as the manufacture’s most unusually decorated dials.
The first newcomer, Parmigiani Toric Tecnica Samba features a minute repeater (2 cathedral gongs) and tourbillon. Its hand-wound movement provides no less than 43 hours of power reserve and oscillates at the frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour. The 37 jewels mechanism consists of 379 components.

Parmigiani Toric Tecnica Minos is equipped with a hand-wound minute repeater movement with 43 hours of power reserve. This mechanism has an impressive mix of complications: the minute repeater on 2 cathedral gongs, the tourbillon and the perpetual calendar.

The new Marquetry Models and other Parmigiani Fleurier Novelties
This year, Parmigiani Fleurier’s partnership with the Brazilian soccer team (CBF) brought new timepieces in the Pershing and the Transforma collections, each bearing the blue-yellow-green color scheme of the Brazilian national team. The brand also unveiled a rose-gold model of its Bugatti Super Sport, but the stars of this year’s SIHH are the new Marquetry limited editions, each inspired by a specific musical history.

Armigiani Fleurier Woodstock Tonda Tourbillon Watch
The Tonda Woodrock is the U.K. edition, which evokes the Montreux Jazz Festival, whilst the Tonda Woodstock, the U.S. edition, is inspired by the famous 1960’s rock ‘n’ roll show. They feature the guitars on their dials, with either the Union Jack or the U.S. Stars and Stripes in the background. The tourbillon escapement of the remarkable Parmigiani movement is the guitar’s sound box. The third Marquetry limited edition watch is called the 15 Days Blue Note and it comes with a blues theme.
