After last year’s launching of the original model Bugatti Veyron, this January at SIHH, the famous watchmaker Parmigiani Fleurier will present its new model – Bugatti Vitesse. This unusually designed newcomer will be availabel in two color options – Blue and Orange.

The case of the new watch is crafted from titanium and it measures 36mm x 50mm with the thickness of 22mm. The case is protected with a sapphire crystal with six layers of anti-reflective coating and it is water resistant up to 10 meters (33 feet).

Another eye-catching detail, besides the obvious shape and choice of colors, is the Dynamometric crown of the watch which is crafted from 18-karats white gold. The crown is decorated with a Lapis-Lazuli cabochon or a Carnelian cabochon, which helps the wearer to set the time and wind the watch. The color of the precious stone is in harmony with the color of the dial.

The dial of the new Parmigiani Fleurier Bugatti Vitesse timepiece is made of material Texalium – glass with a layer of aluminum (it is actually a web-like structure of fiber glass, wrapped in thin aluminium, which ensures superior reflectiveness).

Its either orange or white dial features an applied inscription EB, polished overlaid inscription “Vitesse” in black gold and hour and minute hands which are covered with luminescent coating.

Its boldly designed dial is positioned at a 90° angle to the movement spindle and to the standard dial-position. This innovative concept was presented for the first time in 2010.

The Watch Equipped with an Impressive Mechanism

Parmigiani Fleurier Bugatti Vitesse is powered with the in-house made caliber PF 372 hand-wound movement which provides no less than 10 days of power reserve. The Swiss-made mechanism is built on 40 jewels and composed of 333 individual parts which work in a perfect harmony.

The two-plane caliber oscillates at the frequency of 21,600 (3 Hz) vibrations per hour and features two series-coupled barrels. It is beautifully hand-beveled, circular-grained, sand-blasted and decorated with a Côtes de Geneve pattern. In addition to hours and minutes, the new Parmigiani Fleurier timepiece also has a power reserve indicator.

The last, but not the least, the new Parmigiani Fleurier Bugatti Vitesse comes attached to an elegant alligator leather strap done by Hermes, ending with a titanium folding buckle in a polished finish.

The first model with a red dial surface and  Carnelian cabochon set on its crown comes with a sleek black strap, while the second version with a Lapis-Lazuli cabochon on the crown and blue details on its white dial is accessorized with a matching blue wristlet.

The watch that represents the quite interesting extension of the Bugatti Super Sport Line will be officially unveiled at SIHH 2013 in Geneva.
