The Seiko Arctura Kinetic Chronograph men’s watch is based on the fusion of the brand’s futuristic design and a renowned Kinetic technology. The Arctura Collection is marked as the signature design for advanced Kinetic mechanisms, which indicates that Seiko specially adjusted every single detail to the unique nature of its movement.

Seiko Arctura Kinetic Chronograph Watch SNL045P1The Arctura collection got the name from its inspiration which is the arc of nature. This line of Seiko watches follows natural shapes, combining them wisely with the world of advanced technology. This matchless design sets Arctura watches somewhere in between funny, hi-tech tools and striking fashionable products.

However, as we got used with Seiko timepieces, the most important part of a watch is always inside the case. The Japanese watchmaker has several highly advanced technologies that are embodies in different collections in order to insure the highest accuracy and durability. Along with the Spring Drive, Kinetic movements are surely the best that Seiko can offer. Consequently, this special type of movement, which uses the best from both, mechanical and quartz mechanisms, has a main role in the Seiko Arctura Kinetic Chronograph watch.

Powered by the Body Motion

Cool thing about the Kinetic Chronograph movement is a fact that it exploits the energy from a body motion. This means that you will supply the watch with a certain amount of Kinetic energy, with every movement of your hand. The special rotor, taken from the mechanical movements, converts the energy into the electrical power. Further, the rotor adds the energy to the Storage Unit, which can store the power for amazing five months of round-the-clock action.

Initially, you only need to charge the watch – for a full charge, you have to shake your Seiko Arctura Kinetic Chronograph for about 500 times. After that, you should not worry about the highest precision and durability of your timepiece. The usual daily motions will keep it beating. Even if you forget about the watch for five months, it will start working and showing the exact time, at the same moment you shake it again.

Seiko watches with the Kinetic chronograph movement are specific, because they come with the unusual time dials, located outside the watch center. The main dial is located at the 6 o’clock position and shows the exact time. The stylish frame divides it from the textured surface and highlights indexes, hour and minute hands, Arabic numerals and the date window inside.

Three Chronograph Functions

Seiko Arctura Kinetic Chronograph Watch SNL060P1Significantly smaller 60 seconds sub-dial is at the 10 o’clock position, while the fan-shaped dial which tracks time up to 45 minutes, takes the 2 o’clock position. Finally, the central second hand measures time with 1/5-second accuracy. The Kinetic chronograph movements also possess an advanced fly-back reset function which returns a hand to the zero.

Seiko Arctura Kinetic Chronograph watches come in five variations. All of them have a stainless steel case, with an over-sized diameter of 48 mm. They are covered with a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and have a solid water-resistance (100 meters). The most striking variation comes with a gold-color plating on the case, a black face and a black urethane band.

It is also available with a ‘silver case, black surface, silver dials and black urethane band’ combination, then with a ‘silver case, silver surface, silver dials and black urethane band’ combination. The two variations of the Seiko Arctura Kinetic Chronograph men’s watch feature stainless steel bracelets – one goes with a black and other with a silver surface, both with silver dials.

Sport watch is a type of watch which fits with my style of dressing. I love anything that has to do with sport. I really like the model with rose gold and a black rubber strap. It looks very powerful and classy.

  2. Rafael Chang March 22, 2012

Seiko is a well known corporation to the whole world. They made some of the best and the most beautiful watches, and all of their watches have the same features that characterize them – quality and precision. That is why I want to buy this phenomenal and well designed watch. In my opinion, Seiko is the best brand.

  3. Don Lorenzo March 22, 2012

Honestly, I don`t like Seiko watches. I have a Certina, and before that I had a Fossil and a Bulova. As I said, I don`t like Seiko, but this watch is a kind of special compared to other watches. Who knows, maybe I will decide to buy it in the future.

  4. Jackson April 20, 2012

Japanese watches have the greatest power of precision and accuracy. The special function – Chronograph serves to measure a set time (stopwatch). The stopwatch functions independently of the watch and it is a very useful characteristic for my sport.

  5. Kris Hunt April 20, 2012

I agree with Jackson. For my opinion the watch without the chronograph isn`t a good watch. This is the minimum of the comfort for a modern watch. The best and the most complex chronographs measure even the parts of a second (1/10 or 1/100), and temporary or interim.

  6. Dion Gilbert April 20, 2012

This is an interesting chronograph watch with a lovely design of the dial. The watch that runs by using the energy that is generated by moving your hands. These watches use a special type of rechargeable batteries that store electricity generated. I especially like the uniquely designed bracelet.
