Tough, durable and accurate, new Oyster Perpetual Submariner watches meet highest demands of professional divers. As the extra quality, these timepieces possess attractive, modern elegant look that makes them suitable for almost every occasion, both private and professional.
Back in 1953, Rolex started producing the innovative line of “tool watches”, specially designed to fulfill different kind of professional needs. Presented as the first wristwatch to be water-proof up to 100 meters (300 feet), the Submariner was and steel is, the true representative of the highest quality of brand’s products (along with the Explorer, the GMT Master, the Cosmograph Daytona…).
Today, the Rolex Oyster Perpetual Submariner for men has superb resistance to water-pressure up to 300 meters (1000 feet). This wouldn’t be possible without the standard durability of the Oyster case and some special features that come exclusively with the Rolex dive watch.
One of them is the Triplock winding crown, with ten different parts that are made of the most durable materials. This unique crown is highly protected, being screwed down onto the case. Superb functionality is provided by the unidirectional rotatable bezel, which offers precise information about diving time. The accuracy of these crucial indications is ensured by the unidirectional rotating system, while the luminescent capsule ensures perfect readability, even in most extreme situations.
Newest Oyter Perpetual Submariners come with special Cerachrom bezels, covered with the extremely tough ceramic core, which possesses amazing resistance to corrosion and scratches. These bezels are blue, black or green, with numerals and graduations in platinum or yellow gold.
The masculine size of the case (40 mm in diameter), slightly bigger than we used to with Rolex Oysters, gives bold and aggressive look, while the sporty and elegant bracelet with the Glidelock claps, makes the watch very comfortable and provides divers to extend the length of the bracelet up to 20 mm.
The Rolex Submariner timepiece is powered by the in-house Caliber 3135 self-winding movement. This COSC-certified chronometer incorporates anti-magnetic and shock-resistant Parachrom hairspring and beats at frequency of 28,000 oscillations per hour, with autonomy 50 hours, when it is not worn.
