This year, three special editions of Radiomir watches come from the Officine Panerai, each in an extremely large size (a 47 mm case) and powered by a new in-house P.3000 Calibre automatic movements. Crafted in different materials, each with a unique dial style, the new Radiomir 3 Days Oro Rosa, the Radiomir 3 Days Oro Bianco and the Radiomir 3 Days Platino are waiting for those men who adore tough over-sized timepieces.
These Radiomirs from the 2011 Special edition were selected to present the new technological masterpiece – P.3000 Calibre, completely constructed by Panerai. Bringing together high precision and durability, this self-winding mechanism provides the great power reserve of, at least 72 hours, thanks to a pair of spring barrels.
It is 5.3 mm thick and it has the diameter of 16½ lignes, comprises 160 components, 21 jewels, the Glucydur® balance and the Incabloc® anti-shock device, and it oscillates at the frequency of 21,600 alternations per hour.
All models have robust 47 mm cases, with removable wire loop strap attachments, see-trough sapphire crystal casebacks and a brown dials, covered with 2.8 mm thick Plexiglas. They are available with Panerai personalized alligator straps and large-size gold buckles. Water-resistance up to 100 meters (300 feet) is also a common feature to these timepieces.
Gold and Platinum
Made of pink gold, Radiomir 3 Days Oro Rosa 47mm PAM00379 watches represent the brand’s renowned classic elegance, with the simple design of a large brown dial that only features luminous Arabic numerals 12, 3, 6 and 9, hour markers and the brand’s inscription.
The Radiomir 3 Days Oro Bianco 47mm PAM00376 is a luxury white gold model, distinguished by its aesthetic dial that features an interesting combination of Arabic and Roman numerals and luminous hour markers. This is the only timepiece from the edition that has minute indices.
Finally, the third Radiomir from the Panerai 2011 Special Edition – PAM00373 – has a case and a bezel made of platinum. This beautiful watch comes with an artistic dial that uses luminous dots and lines to mark hours.
