Panerai Officine took over a cool look from its 2010 original – Panerai Radiomir Composite Marina Militare 8 Giorni P2002 47mm (PAM00339), but made significant changes inside the watch. Instead the Panerai P.2002/7 Calibre hand-wound movement, the new model from the brand’s Contemporary collection incorporates automatic P.9000 caliber.
This in-house movement has two barrels that provide power reserve of 3 days. It oscillates at frequency of 28,800 alternations per hour and thanks to Incabloc anti-shock device, it is resistant to mechanical shocks.
New Panerai Luminor Composite Marina Automatic watches are made of ceramic. Panerai uses a special type of this material, which is very light and much harder than a standard ceramics, even harder than steel. It calls it “Composite.” Thanks to this unusual material, watch isn’t heavy at all, despite its size.
All in Brown
Its minimalist classic design, which combines three brown shades, for an outstanding aesthetic impact, is equally important for the superb watch quality. Its case, dial, and strap are all brown. While the matte brown dial of the watch match the case, the color of the leather strap’s stitching fits with the light brown of the luminous Arabic numerals and hour markers. Finally, the medium brown tone comes from the vintage style strap.
The Panerai Luminor Composite Marina 1950 3 Day (PAM 386) automatic watch features the classic sandwich-style dial, with the date window at 3 o’clock and the small seconds sub-dial, located at 9 o’clock position. Watch comes in a signature Luminor 44 mm case, with the patented winding crown guard and Anti-reflective sapphire crystal.

This watch is for older people. It looks very old-fashioned. His look will be much better if he was with white dial or something like that.
This watch looks nice. It’s very pretty. It’s all brown and this color s my favorite.
When I firs saw this watch I thought to myself “This will be my next watch!” .
Of course I bought it and I’m very pleased how it works. Also all my friends have only positive opinions for my watch.
