Perrelet is among 43 watchmaking brands that will participate at the Only Watch 2015 charity auction in order to support the scientific research to fight against the Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. For the sixth edition of the Only Watch, Perrelet presents a playful interpretation of its emblematic Turbine collection.
Perrelet Turbine XL Sheriff for Only Watch 2015 is equipped with the in-house manufactured caliber P-331 mechanical movement powering the central hours, minutes and seconds. This unique timepiece pays homage to the founder Abraham-Louis Perrelet, who was a pioneer of the self-winding movement back in 1777. Furhermore, his name has been highlighted on the dial.
This one-of-a-kind piece features an American Western theme with a dial side rotor styled as a sheriff’s star and classic Western lingo. The new Perrelet Turbine XL Sheriff watch features a sleek black dial which comprises a gold tipped sheriff’s star badge, a rose gold inner ring, luminous Arabic numerals, as well as hour-markers and hands. Under the badge there is the inscription “Wanted Dead or Alive Abraham-Louis Perrelet” which evokes the memory on a great American western movie.
The unique Turbine XL Sheriff is housed in a large 18-karat rose gold case which measures 48mm in diameter. Its case creates an eye-catching contrast with a black rubber-coated bezel and an alligator strap.
The watch will be kept secured to its future owner wrist with a black alligator leather strap, fitted with a black PVD coated stainless steel pin buckle.
The Only Watch biennial charity event will take place in Geneva, on 7 November 2015. This year, the charity auction of unique timepieces will gather 43 different watchmaking companies, each donating one of its unique creations to support scientific and medical research on Duchenne muscular dystrophy. The event is held under the patronage and in the presence of HSH Prince Albert II.
