Men athletes that participate at the London 2012 Olympic Games have been already honored by two special watch editions – Seamaster Aqua Terra 44 London Chronograph and Seamaster 1948 Co-Axial “London 2012″ watch. Now, it is time for women. A new stylish commemoration of the Olympic Games became the part of the Omega ladies’ range. In fact, there are two versions of the Seamaster Aqua Terra Co-Axial “London 2012” 34 mm.

The first one is a bicolor edition that mixes 18 karat yellow gold with stainless steel. Two materials contrast each other with brilliantly polished and brushed finishes, while a dark blue dial matches a stylish leather strap. The faultless design of the PVD-coated blue dial is highlighted with vertical “teak-pattern” lines that are the trademark of timepieces from the Aqua Terra Collection. Applied hour markers are crafted in 18 karat gold and treated with white Super-LumiNova, for increased readability. For that particular purpose, facetted 18 karat gold hands are covered with the same luminous material. There is also an applied 18 karat gold date window at the 3 o’clock position.

The second version of the Seamaster Aqua Terra Co-Axial “London 2012” watch comes with a case and a bracelet both made of brushed and polished stainless steel. Inside the 34 mm case, there is the in-house Calibre 8520 self-winding mechanism. This certified chronometer incorporates a co-axial escapement that highly increases watch accuracy, stability and durability. It also comprises a free sprung-balance system with a silicon balance-spring and can be automatically wound in both directions, which reduces winding time. The movement provides 50 hours of power-reserve. Finally, it meets aesthetic standards with a rhodium plated finish and exclusive Geneva waves in arabesque.

Like all Seamaster timepieces, this ladies’ Aqua Terra Co-Axial “London 2012” has great water resistance. It withstands water pressure up to the depth of 150 meters (500 feet). Its sign of distinction is an interesting case-back, stamped with the London 2012 Olympic Games medallion. In London, Omega celebrates two big anniversaries. It is exactly 80 years since the brand’s first appearance as the official Olympic Games’ timekeeper. Besides, this is the 25th time that Omega has this prestigious role.
