The latest model of the Omega Seamaster series, the Seamaster Ploprof 1200M was especially created for diving. Extremely tough, durable and stabile, this dive watch is water resistant to an amazing 1200 metres.

The original Seamaster Ploprof Diving watch was launched in the 1970’s. It was the Seamaster Professional 600, the so-called “Ploprof” from French words “PLOngeur PROFessionnel”, which means “professional divers”.

Omega Seamaster Ploprof 1200m WatchDuring a years of progress in watchmaking industry, Omega watches from Seamaster collection has been reinforced to resist extreme conditions and pressure in great depth. Thanks to the advanced technology, hard construction and the revolutionary in-house Co-Axial mechanism, newest model in famous collection doubled the resistance under water.

The Ploprof 1200M is equipped with the Co-Axial calibre 8500, with a free sprung balance, which delivers long-term stability and accuracy. This self-winding mechanism, with two barrels mounted in series, has astonishing power reserve of 60 hours. The Co-Axial movement also offers the possibility of adjusting the hour to various time zones.

Omega Seamaster Ploprof 1200m Watch Dial DetailOmega Seamaster Ploprof 1200 M watch contains a screwed-in crown, at the 9 o’clock position, preventing possible inadvertent manipulation. The bezel can only be activated through the pusher, located at the 2 o’clock position. Pressing the orange aluminium ring allows the bezel to be rotated in either direction and then locked firmly in position, providing that it cannot be accidentally moved during a dive. Another important element is the helium escape-valve, positioned at 4 o’clock. This distinction allows helium atoms to escape during decompression.

Robust Case and Superb Legibility

Case of Omega Seamaster Ploprof 1200M is made of polished stainless steel, which is 17.5 mm thick, and with adiameter of 48 mm (case dimensions in total: 55 x 48 mm).A robust steel case is covered with scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, with anti-reflective treatment on both sides.

This professional divers’ watch is available in 2 versions – with a brushed mesh “Sharkproof” bracelet or a rubber strap in either black, white or orange. This timepiece has a white or black dial, with an applied polished OMEGA name and logo and date display, positioned at 4:30.

Omega Seamaster Ploprof 1200m WatchesAlso, the hours, minutes and seconds hands and the polished indexes are Super-LumiNova coated, which provides great readability. The centre piece of the case back demonstrates a waved background, featuring the polished Omega logo.

The Seamaster Ploprof 1200M is sturdy, hardcore watch, built for the true adventurer and certainly oneof the best sea diving wristwatches ever.

  1. Edwin Kerr December 31, 2011

This is the real master of the sea! Water resistance of 1200m is amazing. Also the movement is great.

  2. Evan Bourn December 31, 2011

The watch has a great performance, a great design and an excellent water resistance. Although I have one objection- the watch should have a chronograph. It would look much better. Watches look much better with chronographs.

  3. Cayle Siemenc December 31, 2011

I agree with Edwin and Evan, the watch has a great movement, incredible water resistance and a nice design. But I honestly do not like watches with analog displays.
This is one of the best watches ever!
