The newest edition of amazing Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean watches is specially made for women. The ladies’ line comes in a smaller, feminine size, with glamorous diamond’s shine and with a superb functionality which has made this line sought-after all around the globe. For those who enjoy wearing larger watches, Omega has created several models with 42mm cases.
Planet Oceans for ladies carry the same quality as the men’s line (read the review here) which has been famous as the brand’s leading sport line since its first launch, back in 2005. At the first place, they are great diving watches that can be easily used up to 600 meters (2000 feet). A tough construction with a unidirectional rotating bezel, a helium escape valve and a screw-in crown guarantees the best performances under water.
Standard features are upgraded with the use of new mechanisms, housed in feminine 37.5mm cases. In-house Co-Axial Calibre 8520/8521 automatic movements have already approved their highest quality inside glamorous Ladymatic timepieces. Now, they beat inside ladies’ Planet Oceans, providing the highest precision, stability and longevity.
It features a Co-Axial escapement, a free sprung-balance system with a silicon balance-spring, an automatic winding in both directions and a nice autonomy of 50 hours, when it is not worn. The oscillating mass and the balance bridge of Calibre 8521 are crafted in red gold.
The Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean 37.50 mm that comes with the Co-Axial Calibre 8521 is made of 18 ct gold. Extremely elegant and luxurious, this timepiece has a bezel which is set with 42 diamonds, with the total weight of 1.55 carats. It features an integrated leather strap, either in white or black color.
Those models that are powered with the Calibre 8520 come with stainless steel cases and either black or white ceramic bezels or bezels that are covered with 42 diamonds. There is a choice of leather or rubber straps (both available in black and white colors). Finally, there is a model with a stainless steel bracelet.
The white or black dial features applied indexes that are coated with white Super-LumiNova. They emit a blue light, as well as polished, facetted rhodium-plated hands, which helps divers to track time in extreme condition easily. The minute hand and a dot on a bezel glow green.
Seamaster Planet Ocean 42.00 mm, Calibre 8500/8501
Despite smaller wrist sizes, many women enjoy wearing larger timepieces. This is a reason why the Swiss watchmaker produced ladies’ models with 42 mm diameters.
These Seamaster Planet Oceans are powered with the latest generation of in-house Co-Axial Calibre 8500/8501 movements. Equipped with a Co-Axial escapement, a silicon balance spring and two barrels mounted in series that provide 60 hours of power-reserve, these self-winding mechanisms are true representatives of the most advanced Omega’s technology.
The Planet Ocean 42.00 mm watches are crafted either in 18 Ct red gold or stainless steel. They feature unidirectional rotating bezels, each covered with 42 diamonds and either a black, or a white lacquered dial and an integrated leather strap that matches the color of the dial.
