Swiss watchmaker Richard Mille made a special watch for Tennis number 1 Rafael Nadal. The greatest player ever, Roger Federer wears the Rolex timepieces, as well as champions of women’s tennis, Justine Henin, Caroline Wozniacki and Ana Ivanovic.  Highest paid woman tennis player, Maria Sharapova, continuous successful partnership with Tag Heuer watch company. Novak Djokovic was amazed with expensive present from Audemars Piguet.

madrid-atp-tourFamous watchmakers have always tried to make deep connections with the greatest sport events and, above all, with the sportsmen who stay behind some of the highest achievements. Tennis is definitely one of their favorite sports. Great precision and perfect timing are qualities that define a top tennis player, but also stay in front of watchmakers, as the ultimate demand.

Passionate tennis lovers always attempt to identify themselves with their favorite players. Sometimes, it isn’t easy at all, especially if they want to run fast as Rafa or look stunning as Ana. Definitely, it’s better to start with buying Nadal’s snickers or shirt. Or maybe a watch. Let’s see – The RM 027 Tourbillon, specially crafted for actual number one, in carbon-composite and lithium alloys. Price – $525,000. Ok, let’s go back on running.

rafa-nadal-richard-mille-027-tourbillon-watchRichard Mille 027 Tourbillon is made in just 50 pieces and one is already reserved for Nadal, who even wears it during the game, thanks to the extraordinary watch lightness. It weighs just 20 grams and probably doesn’t affect Rafa’s precision.

Most definitely, the best tennis player ever, Roger Federer, have been the exclusive ambassador of Rolex since 2006. This, multi-million dollars worth partnership, brought together two Swiss icons, the winner of 16 Grand Slam titles and the elite watch brand, which is also famous as traditional tennis timekeeper.

justine-henin-rolex-oyster-perpetual-datejust-watchLadies line of Oyster Perpetual collection is also reserved for the tennis elite. The biggest champion from Rolex Dream Team, Belgian player Justine Henin has been chosen as brand’s ambassador thanks to her perfection on tennis court. Seven times Grand Slam champion and Olympic Games Gold Medal winner rejoined the Swiss company in 2010 and once again got nice sum of money for wearing the stunning lady’s Oyster Perpetual Datejust watch.

Ana Ivanovic had remained the world number one for just several weeks, but definitely can’t fall from the top lists of the world’s most beautiful women in sport. That still makes her perfect ambassador of the top end Swiss watchmaker.

ana-ivanovic-rolex-oyster-perpetual-datejust-watchIt even seems like Ana is becoming more suitable for this role, because she looks more and more beautiful and glamorous, as time goes by. The picture with the Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust on her wrist tells more than any word.

Another gorgeous player, Maria Sharapova, earned impressive $22,500,000 in 2010, despite her permanent injuries and bad form. Pretty much of that sum came from famous Swiss watchmaker Tag Heuer. As the member of extraordinary team of Tag’s ambassadors, Maria nicely caries out the essence of brand’s philosophy – which is consist of high performances, sport, glamour and beauty.

The third ATP player, Novak Djokovic, still hasn’t signed a contract with any watchmaker, but interesting story from Geneva could be an announcement of the future partnership. Serbian player recently visited the Swiss manufacturer of luxury watches, Audemars Piguet and got an (un)expected present from the company’s co-owner Pierre Bottinelli.

novak-djokovic-audemars-piguet-watchNovak left the manufactory in Geneva with extra-luxury, 260,000 dollars worth, Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Concept watch on his wrist, but it’s still unknown was it a sign of a new partnership or just a very unusual hospitality.

stefanie-graf-and-andre-agassi-longines-watchesLongines watchmaker has been part of world of tennis during years, as a timekeeper, sponsor and partner of great masters of this game. Today, company can be proud on its ambassadors, real tennis legends and most famous sport couple, Stefanie Graf and Andre Agassi. Two former champions are ideal promoters of brand’s Sport Collection, while Swiss company helps their noble foundations, “Children for Tomorrow” and “The Andre Agassi Foundation”.

Federer is definitely the best promoter you can gat. The best results and classy style, he is just amazing. I don’t know exactly how much does he cost, but he deserves it. I’m not a big fan of Rolex, but have to appreciate its work and determination to make a links with the best athletes.

  6. Natasa May 8, 2011

I watched Nadal today and he looked great in his green-yellow outfit and with the RM watch on his wrist. But Djokovic was better even without a watch :D . Nole is a new champion.

  7. Bobo July 3, 2011

Audemars Piguet booked the upcoming star on time. From today, Novak Djokovic is the number one!
