The main sponsor of the upcoming Indian Grand Prix, TAG Heuer presented the limited edition Carrera Tachymeter Chronograph watches, dedicated to the first F1 race in India.
The new Tag Heuer Carrera timepieces come with the signature and the logo of the Buddh International Racing Circuit and with the small layout of the circuit. The tribute to the extraordinary event is also shown by the the F1 logo, a saffron central second hand and stitching on the leather strap.
Swiss manufacturer of luxury watches is also the official timekeeper of FIA (Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile), which is going to make final tests on the track. Indian officials expect the green signal on the circuit, by September.
“Three years ago, we had land acquisition issues, but, we finally got the site in Greater Noida, UP. The whole circuit has a total of 16 different kinds of turns that will test the skill of the driver and the car”, said Sameer Gaur, MD and CEO of Jaypee Sports company that built the 5.14-km-long world-class motor racing circuit.
As a company that spends around 25 per cent of its annual marketing budget on motor-racing sport, Tag Heuer seems like a great partner in joint effort to promote Formula 1 in India. Also, there is no better link with the professional racing, ultimate precision and unrivalled tradition than the Tag Heuer Carrera. Worn by iconic champions, such as Jackie Ickx, Ronnie Peterson, Alan Prost and Artyon Senna, timepieces from this collection have entered the history of the prestigious sport.
The 200 pieces of the new Tag Heuer Carrera Tachymeter Chronograph will be offer in September. A booking procedure is going to be announced soon.
