A renowned Swiss watch designer, Jacques Fournier, announced the launching of the new brand that will be officially presented at the International Jewellery London show, in October 2012. Inspired by extreme, freestyle and action sports, distinctive and cool looking Wryst Airborne timepieces are created to provide durability, accuracy and cutting-edge style. Wryst comes with four robust chronographs with both hard and comfortable construction and the striking design, perfect for active men and women who want to look special and attractive even while taking a brake from their extreme adventures.
Wryst Airborne FW3, FW4, and FW5 chronograph watches provide ultimate protection against shocks and scratches, thanks to their black, diamond-like carbon coated stainless steel cases. Besides, K1 mineral crystal with anti-reflective coating is also highly resistant material that ensures a great protection from shatter and scratches. These recommend new Wryst timepieces for a different kind of outdoor sport activities. Considering vivid colors and cool design, I see them as perfect additions to snowboard equipment. Since they have solid water-resistance up to 100 meters (330 feet), Airborne watches also allow water-sport activities, such as scuba diving, surfing, waterskiing, jetski and many more.
Inside the robust 45mm case, there is a Swiss made, 5 jewels gold plated Ronda Startech 3540D quartz chronograph movement that provides a unique arrangement of chronograph counters at six, nine and twelve o’clock positions on the dial. The small seconds sub-dial is located at the 6 o’clock, while the 30-minute counter takes the 9 o’clock position. The great movement also provides counting elapsed time with the 1/10 of a second accuracy. The date window is located at the 3 o’clock. The design of the dial is modern and original, but also highly functional, allowing quick and precise readability.
I also like the shape of the case. With that, highly polished, railway-style frame, it looks futuristic and pretty ergonomic. Each Wryst Airborne watch comes with a comfortable rubber strap, available in several vibrant colors, depending on the variation. Attached to the case by a stainless steel, two-part screw, this strap has a dust-proof surface and reinforced ends with a strong plastic insert.
Wryst will release four versions of the Airborne chronograph, each limited to 75 pieces. The FW3 model features light green inserts and Arabic numerals on the black dial, as well as a green rubber strap. Still, Wryst gives two more options with either white of black strap. The FW4 comes with a striking yellow strap and the combination of red and yellow inserts on the dial. It is also available with wither black or red strap. The last version in black carbon is the FW5, featuring an orange strap and inserts in the matching color. Additionally, there is a choice between white and black straps. All three models cost £475. Finally, there is a sandblasted stainless steel FW6 model, distinctive by its white dial. It is available with a black rubber strap, or with additional straps in red or white. The price of this model is £ 415.
