The latest addition to the Ulysse Nardin’s family of watches is a stunning Black Toro which is, according to the manufacturer, the best perpetual calendar wristwatch in the watchmaking industry.

Ulysse Nardin Black Toro Watch
In 1996, the Swiss manufacturer presented the world’s most functional perpetual calendar – Perpetual Ludwig Watch. This model was so special because it allowed the forward and backward settings of all calendar indications with a single crown, so the year, the month and the oversized date are adjusted by the wearer, or manually reset. The movement with the so-called “quick setting” patent has been featured in many of the Ulysse Nardin’s timepieces with GMT+/- Perpetual with dual-time functions. This novelty is no exception.

The Black Toro (ref. 326-03) is powered with the in-house manufactured caliber UN-32 which is COSC certified and provides no less than 24 hours of power reserve. The self-winding mechanism is built on 34 jewels and uses a quick setting mechanism for perpetual calendar indications. The second time zone is displayed on the main dial, whereas the third hand shows the permanent home time. The calendar functionality is completed with the big date indicator set in a double window.
The new Black Toro is housed in an 18-karat rose gold case with the diameter of 43mm. The case incorporates a black ceramic bezel and it is attached either to a rubber strap with a titanium/ceramic deployant clasp or an optional leather strap with a folding buckle. The case is constructed to resist water pressure of up to 100 meters (330 feet).

The combination of black and gold, as well as a little white luminescent substance on its hands and hour markers makes this newcomer a real stunner. Last year, Ulysse Nardin launched the more eye-catching version of this timepiece – Ulysse Nardin Blue Toro.
