In advance of the 2011 adidas Grand Prix, famous sprinter and Omega’s ambassador Tyson Gay made an interesting presentation of Swiss watch brand, giving its personal Omega timepiece to the Fifth Avenue Flagship Boutique in New York City.
Gay’s Seamaster Aqua Terra became a part of the “Ambassador Collection Series” of autographed timepieces that also displays flagship models of other Omega’s celebrities, such as Nicole Kidman, Sergio Garcia, Michael Phelps and Buzz Aldrin.
“I’m excited to be here in New York City today to donate my personal OMEGA watch to the Fifth Avenue Flagship Boutique,” said Gay. “Having my watch alongside those of Olympic gold medalist Michael Phelps, golfer Sergio Garcia and legendary astronaut Buzz Aldrin is quite an honor.”
At the same time, this special event served to promote upcoming 2011 adidas Grand Prix competition to be held at Icahn Stadium, on Randall’s Island in NYC. As the Official Timekeeper of the IAAF Samsung Diamond League for the second straight year, Omega is responsible for the most accurate timing of world’s fastest men and women.
