New iPocket Watch concept created by Edwin Conan gives you an original opportunity to transform your iPod nano into a really cool pocket timepiece. A classic design goes perfectly with the updated iPod Nano 6th Generation that features additional clock faces in its watch function. The unique concept that brings a bit of yesterday to a modern man’s style, is currently trying to get funding through a crowd funding site Pozible, in order to make a jump to the production stage.
Crafted in hand-finished aircraft grade aluminum, the iPocket Watch case comes in two variations. The first one has a standard square face that completely reveals a screen of iPod nano, unlike the second rounded case that opens only a clock display, covering the part of the touch screen, which seams like a more beautiful, but less functional design. Both variations are available in silver color. Besides, there is a special Black Edition that can be ordered on request.
One of the most appealing watch faces of the iPod nano is a classic dial with Roman numerals. As Edwin Conan explained, that kind of dial needed a classic watch case “to match and celebrate, and the most classic watch of all time is, of course, the pocket watch”. That is how the great idea of turning the iPod Nano into a multi-touch and multi-function pocket watch was born.
The iPocketwatch also features a 30cm long (11.8″) chain, which can be connected to a belt for security. Besides, this aesthetic detail is a perfect addition to a watch. Just like any other gadget case, iPocketwatch features a headphone jack and volume buttons.
The price for the basic iPocketWatch is around $50. You can get both square and round fascias for approximately $ 70, while the black version is available for around $ 80. The project will be opened until March 19, 2012, so if you like this elegant gadget, hurry up.
