For the year 2014, the Swiss manufacturer has prepared a new mechanical timepiece – the Chemin des Tourelles Skeleton named after the street in which the Tissot factory was built in 1907 and where the company still remains today. The new Tissot watch features the impressive body which is crafted from 316L stainless steel and boasts an open-worked dial that makes quite a dubious impression.
The new Tissot Chemin des Tourelles Skeleton perfectly reflects more than 160 years of Tissot’s expertise. Although it looks a little bit like a last year’s Tissot T-Complication Squelette Watch, it has some easily visible changes.

Tissot Chemin des Tourelles Skeleton Watch
The art of the brand’s watchmaking is clearly visible through its open-worked dial thanks to its skeletonized movement. The simple and delicate hour and minute hands may look like a contemporary touch at first, when in fact, the blue tint, also seen on the Roman indexes, is a result of an ancient method used to shield steel from corrosion. On this novelty, it actually has a dual purpose. Besides showing a certain tradition, it also adds striking details to the watch. Its skeletonized dial also features the vintage-looking counter at the 9 o’clock position which brings an original feature to the new watch. Furhermore, the Roman numerals also add to the classic appeal.

This exceptional newcomer is powered with the Swiss made caliber 6497-1 hand-wound mechanical movement exclusive to Tissot. It can be noticed that the bridges are more fluent and less industrial when compared with the T-Complication Squelette from 2013.
The watch’s case measures 43mm in diameter and it is protected on both sides with scratch-resistant, domed sapphire crystal with double antireflective coating. The case is constructed to resist water pressure of up to 50 meters (about 165 feet).

Chemin des Tourelles Skeleton boasts luxurious finishes and design details which seamlessly link tradition with modern styling for wearers who love to bear witness to the visible connections among past, present and future.
Tissot attached the new timepiece to a black alligator pattern leather strap which is secured to the wearer’s wrist with a steel folding buckle. I am sure that this novelty will please many watch enthusiasts, especially those who like to enjoy the inner beauty of the watch. Like all Tissot watches, it comes with two year warranty.
