The Swiss manufacturer of colorful and affordable watches, Swatch, is launching a new edition of timepieces that feature touch-screen controls. The collection utilizes the technology, previously used in the T-Touch series of Tissot Watches, the high-end brand that is also owned by the Swatch Group.
The new line does not include any pushers or buttons and it is in fact completely controlled by tapping or swiping of convex LCD screens. The manufacturer has included lots of functions in these digital timepieces. They include the second time zone features, stopwatches and countdown timers, backlights, date displays and alarms.
The watches are set in plastic barrel-shaped cases, but unfortunately, it is yet unknown what their exact dimensions are. As it can be seen from the photos that have emerged, Swatch Touch collection will include rubber straps. The dials display information in special fonts that the watchmaker is especially proud of. However, some people have already criticized this sort of display because they consider it to be too hard to read.
The watches are available in six different colors: camouflage, white, black, turquoise, pink and purple. The price for each of the versions is $150.
camouflage version looks great, i will definitely get that one.white and black ones are nice too, the rest of them are too girly for me:)
