A Swiss luxury watchmaking brand RJ-Romain Jerome has officially released its latest timepiece that was created in collaboration with HardNine Choppers, a Swiss based custom motorbike manufacturer. This unique timepiece is actually a part of the package which comprises the new unique H9C-DNA watch and one of a kind HardNine Chopper’s latest customization – a WLC 1943 Harley Davidson 750cc that was originally owned by the Canadian Army. These two unique pieces can be purchased only in a pair.

A new timepiece and a new motorbike share common design traits, such as purple metal flake paintings, golden parts, perforated leather and skulls which are traditionally strong biker symbols.

This rumbling motorbike is completely redesigned by Danny Schneider, the owner and founder of HardNine Choppers. Danny launched his company in 2002 after a severe FMX accident that put an unexpected end to his career. Before this accident he was known as one of the pioneers in Swiss FMX. Today, Danny Schneider established himself as a one-of-a-kind custom motorcycle builder. It took 6 months for Schneider to complete the process of customization which consisted of the manual reshaping of the fenders, gas and oil tanks, the front fork, the exhaust pipe and the reconditioning of the original motor.

The other member of this artistic package is the H9C-DNA watch (ref. RJ.M.AU.028.02) which is housed in a black PVD-coated stainless steel case which measures 44mm in diameter and incorporates a polished red gold bezel. The satin-brushed hour and minute hands are colored in a matching red gold and tipped with superluminova C1 “blue emission”.

Extremely striking skeletonized Skull has been applied on the dial center. This biker symbol is hand painted in a unique purple metal flake color which allows the barrel to be seen through H9C’s skull logo depicted on its forehead whereas the balance wheel is discreetly wrapped under gridded teeth.

The lugs of this unique timepiece have been hollowed to lighten the timepiece and hide a one of a kind case closing system with fewer visible screws. Furthermore, a perforated black “guidoline” calfskin strap has been custom made for this unique watch recalling the motorcycle’s custom made handlebars.

RJ-Romain Jerome also offered another limited edition of 9 timepieces, H9C-DNA Speed Metal (ref. RJ.M.AU.025.02) with a mirror polished H9C skull on the dial. They are created for nine more watch aficionados who would like to get a taste of RJ-Romain Jerome and HardNine Choppers collaboration.

The unique H9C-DNA watch with a pink skull, as well as nine more Speed Metal models are crafted to resist water pressure of up to 30 meters (100 feet).

The beating heart is the in-house manufactured caliber RJ004-M mechanical movement which is capable to store energy which will keep the watch ticking for about 48 hours. This caliber is built on 21 jewels and has a beating rate of 28,800 beats per hour (4 Hz).

The exquisite package of the unique timepeice and the unique motorbike is priced CHF 110,000 (about $125,000), while the H9C-DNA Speed Metal model can be purchased for CHF 17,950 ($21,950).
