The Swiss watchmaker Richard Mille enters the world of professional golfing in big style by signing up a new ambassador, Italian champion Diana Luna, as well as becoming the official Major Partner of the Lacoste Ladies Open tournament which takes place every year in the capital of France. The Italian golfer has thus become the first sportswoman in the partnership with Richard Mille. She is currently working with the brand’s designers and engineers on the creation of a new timepiece that will represent her affections and style and will replicate the high class of the sport she is a professional in. Until then, Diana Luna’s wrist will be graced with Richard Mille RM 007 Titanium model. The same watch made in the unique example with a white crown and a strap in the same color, as well as with special engravings, will be given to the winner of the Lacoste Ladies Open tournament which is scheduled for the final week of September.

Diana Luna Playing Golf
The tope Italian female golfer, Diana Luna, has turned pro 11 years ago and since then, she has won five tournaments. Even before that, the new Richard Mille ambassador showed signs of being destined for greatness. In the junior’s competition, she won four national champions and a single European one. Luna’s premiere as a professional came in 2004 when she triumphed at the Tenerife Ladies Open which takes place at the Spain’s Canary Islands. Five years later came one of the most successful years in Luna’s pro career. During the course of the year of 2009, not only that she won two major tournaments – AIB Ladies Irish Open and SAS Ladies Masters which is held in Norway, but Luna also qualified for the European team for the Solheim Cup. Only the best female golfers from Europe and the States compete for the trophy of the Solheim Cup which is held biannually.

Diana Luna
Diana Luna’s next title as a pro came in 2011 when she won Ladies German Open in big style by becoming the first ever woman golfer that had no bogeys in the entire tour, even though she played 72 holes during four days the tournament took place. The fifth and final title so far came in the same year, when the new ambassador of Richard Mille won the Deutche Bank Ladies Swiss Open. All in all, despite her relatively short career, Diana Luna has recorded 31 top 10 finishes, has lifted the trophy on The European circuit in five occasions and has 5 triumphs in the PGA of Italy.
