Since 1992, when RGM Watch Company was founded by American watchmaker Roland G. Murphy, a relatively new brand in a short time managed to gain credibility among watch connoisseurs. The latest member to the RGM watch family is Series 2 “Blue Diver” Dive Watch.

RGM Series 2 “Blue Diver” Dive WatchThis timepiece represents a perfect continuation of the successful release of the brand’s initial dive watch, the RGM Model 300, featuring some subtle and not-so-subtle changes. The second series, also known as 300-2, is produced in a limited quantity. It comprises 100 examples with a very special set of blue color options which are quite appropriate for exploring deep blue oceans.

This diving watch offers you everything that you can expect from this kind of a timekeeper. First of all, it has an impressive water resistance rating. Its case is constructed to provide water resistance up to amazing 800 meters (2,500 feet). The round case is made of high-quality stainless steel and it has 43.5 mm in diameter and 17.5 mm in thickness. Further, the case is protected with a 5 mm sapphire crystal layer. Its masculine case incorporates a brushed blue bezel insert which instantly attracts the eye.

RGM Series 2 “Blue Diver” Dive WatchThe sporty looking bezel perfectly fits with both dial options. The first variant is a matte blue dial surface that exactly matches the color of the bezel, creating an eye-catching multi-layer effect. The second dial option is in sunray blue color. This dynamic nuance reflects varying shades of blue depending upon the angle and the available light.

RGM Series 2 “Blue Diver” Dive WatchCompared to the Series 1, this year’s model has some interesting design changes on the dial, such as hour markers which are a little bit shorter and a date window which now can be situated at either 3 or 6 o’clock position.

RGM Series 2 “Blue Diver” Dive WatchAs usual for divers, this newcomer has applied hands and hour markers generously covered with white Superluminova C1 (it emits blue light). Also, the hour and minute hands are partially skeletonized, which is another subtle change from the Series 1. The RGM Series 2 “Blue Diver” is powered by the ETA 2892 automatic movement. The 21 jewels mechanism oscillates at the rapid frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour. The latest RGM diving watch can be attached either to a black or a blue rubber strap with a steel buckle, or to a stainless steel bracelet.

The new Model 300-2 is available at the price of approximately $3,500.
