Inspired by the first square watches of the 1970s, this truly beautiful timepiece from Raymond Weil’s Maestro Collection brings a timeless elegance on a man’s wrist, while with its Swiss made mechanism, it provides high accuracy and durability. With its new Maestro watch, the Geneva based watchmaker demonstrates how a simple watch design can reach the aesthetic perfection. Raymond Weil launched three versions of this stylish model – two of them with stainless steel cases and the third one with a steel case coated with yellow PVD gold.

With its cool looking, vintage case, the new Maestro brings back the aesthetics of the brand’s earlier models. The square case with beautifully curved edges and brilliantly polished tiny bezel also reminds of Tag Heuer’s iconic Silverstone Chronograph which was also introduced for the first time back in 1970s. Its 40 x 40 mm size is another proof that the Swiss watchmaker wanted to reproduce the vintage spirit in totality. Although there is a tendency in the watchmaking industry towards the creation of robust timepieces, this size will always be the standard for a stylish man.

A silver dial perfectly matches with the color of the case. Its highlight is the central zone, beautified with a sunray guilloché motif. It is surrounded with concentric staves and black transferred Roman numerals that emphasize the elegant side of the watch. At the 3 o’clock position, there is a date aperture. Finally, the dial features a minute scale which subtly runs over the outer rim. At the center of the alluring pattern, there are three classic looking hands, made of blued steel. It seems that many watchmakers have found blued hands as the perfect aesthetic solution for elegant silver dials.

The Ref. 2867- STC-00659 version comes with a black alligator calf strap, while the Ref 2867-ST-00659 model is available with an attractive multi-link stainless steel bracelet. Finally, there is a stainless steel model with yellow gold PVD coating (Ref. 2867-PC-00659) that is nicely paired with a dark brown leather strap. A transparent, sapphire crystal case-back reveals a self-winding movement. It features 26 rubies and ensures about 38 hours of power-reserve.
