A famous Italian manufacturer, Panerai, presented two new timepieces on the largest watch event in the world – the HKTDC Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair.
The first one is Luminor 1950 Left-handed 8 Days Titanio PAM00368 wristwatch that combines the toughest materials with a highly advanced technology. It also comes in an extremely large case. This new timepiece is a part of the Panerai 2011 Special edition.

Its case, made of brushed titanium, with the diameter of enormous 47 mm, incorporates a polished bezel made of the same material, as well as a crown with a protective device set on the left side and a single push button at the 2 o’clock position. This Luminor watch comes with a transparent case back, which allows you to look at the devoted movement at work. Embellished with 23 jewels, the hand-winding P.2002/9 movement provides an amazing power-reserve of 8 days. A power reserve indicator is set on the case back that is covered with a sapphire crystal, as well as the front side of the watch. This new Luminor is equipped with the P.3000/1 hand-winding mechanical movement, built on 21 jewels. This reliable and accurate movement provides the regular functions of hour, minute and second, as well as the power reserve of 3 days. Its masculine case is crafted from brown Panerai composite and has 47 mm in diameter. The case comes with a patented winding crown quard and it is protected with an anti-reflective sapphire crystal. A brown dial includes Arabic numerals at the quarter hours, covered with luminous material, as well as the small seconds counter set at the 9 o’clock position. The hour and minute hands are also covered with the same ecru-colored luminous material that provides great readability. The front side of the watch, as well as its transparent case back are covered with sapphire crystals. Further, it is simply perfect for those who intend to swim and dive with their new timepiece, because it is water resistant up to 100 meters (330 feet).

I’m a big fan of Panerai. Both of this watches are great, but I will rather choose left-handed one (it is obvious why). Only problem with Panerai is their limited edition. For God sake – please start produce it for all watch lovers.
Someone might say that the main problem is affordability of these watches. In any case, these two Panerai are quite interesting.
