Carl F.Bucherer released a beautiful new series of a Patravi TravelTec FourX Chronograph GMT watch which presents an attractive combination of rose gold, titanium and ceramic. Along with its trilling sporty style subtly marked by the implementation of luxurious elements, this timepiece is distinctive by its exquisite functionality that offers three time-zone indications and full chronograph features. This future identification mark of the serious world travelers comes in Limited Edition of 125 pieces, in honor to the brand’s anniversary.
In order to create a complex interface with simultaneous indications of three time zones, the renowned watchmaker developed the fist ever mechanism integrated with a case. Thus, the case incorporates the part of the time-zone selection mechanism which can be adjusted in two directions via the push-button at the 10 o’clock position. This mechanism can be seen through a transparent side of the case. At the outer rim of the skeletonized dial, there are two matt black 24-hour scales, one of which rotates with each press on the 10-o’clock pusher. The local time is shown by the long red hour hand, while central skeleton hour and minute hands in rose gold indicate time at home.
The dial also features applied, red gold hour numerals which surround three grey sub-dials: At the 6 o’clock position, there is the 12-hour counter; the 30-minute counter takes the 9 o’clock position, while the one at the 3 o’clock indicates small seconds. The open-worked dial reveals the date disc which shows the accurate date through the window located between 4 and 5 o’clock positions.
The robust case with the diameter of 46.6 mm and the thickness of 15.5 mm comes in 18 karat rose gold. It incorporates a round, black ceramic bezel that features an interesting rose gold ring as a perfect frame which fits the deep, striking dial. A screw-down crown and chronograph push buttons are crafted in 18 karat rose gold and covered with rubber inserts, while the robust push-piece on the left side of the case comes in blackened titanium. The bold sporty style of the watch is complemented with a black rubber strap and a red gold pin buckle.
The Patravi TravelTec FourX Limited Edition watch is powered by CFB 1901.1 caliber self-winding mechanism with 39 jewels and the power reserve of 42 hours. All decorations on its bridges and gears are open to the eye of a viewer. Although it looks pretty tough, this watch does not have a serious water-resistance (up to 50 meters), so do not use it for deep underwater activities.
