Here we have yet another impeccable diver  named AG Diver Big Crown from Singapore based watch manufacturer MoVas. The latest dive watch from MoVas is crafted from 316L surgical grade stainless steel and it is constructed to resist water pressure up to amazing 300 meters (about  990 feet).

MoVas AG Diver Big Crown Watch is produced in only 35 hand made pieces. Each of them gets polished highlights in a polished giant crown, bezel top and gold hands. Besides the new massive crown which comes without  any crownguards, the new MoVas timepiece also features redrilled lug screw holes, so screws are flushed with the lugs, refinished cases which are brushed or blasted, stronger hand applied lume on pip and hand applied C3 Superluminova lume on the dial. There are also new articulated hands, a date display which is enlarged to enhance readability of the date, stronger ratcheting action on the bezel and an overall more precisely tuned movement.

This automatic diving watch is powered with the Chinese made Tianjin Seagull Caliber 2533 which is capable to store enough power to keep the watch ticking for at least 45 hours when fully charged. The 31 jewels movement has the beating pace of 21,600 semi-alternations per hour (3Hz). The impeccable mechanism also features an anti-shock protection system on the balance wheel.

The dark anthracite gray dial with black printing features a small seconds counter at the 9 o’clock position, a linear power-reserve indicator at the 6 o’clock position and a date window at the 3 o’clock position.

The watch case measures 45mm in diameter (50mm lug hole- lug hole), 17mm in height to the top of the bezel and 19mm in height including domed sapphire. The screw down crown comes with extra large “V” and boasts a double locking screw down mechanism. The case is shielded with the European sourced scratch resistant sapphire crystals with a slight pink/ blue hue. A solid case back of the watch  features Chinese character for water, as well as the inscription “Movement of Asia”.  Also, each watch is individually numbered on the case back (01-35).

MoVas AG Diver Big Crown comes either with a bracelet or with a strap. A steel bracelet has been shot peened  with a shallower depth to contrast the case finishing. Links are removable with 1.5mm hex screwdriver/ allen key for length adjustment. The bracelet ends with a double locking diver’s buckle with a diving suit extension and shot peened surface to sport finishing on the bracelet, with micro adjustment on the side. For those who prefer more comfortable wristlets there is a choice between rubber or leather strap, each ending with a deployant buckle with the matching shot peened surface.

The Singapore watchmaker MoVas is a young and progressive Asian watchmaking brand whose main goal is to be proudly Asian made and designed while using Asian Mechanical Movements which, according to them, deserve more recognition than they currently get. However, MoVas’s designs comes with a distinct Western aesthetics. The name “MoVas” is short for Movements of Asia.
