Here we have yet another amazing cooperation between the Polish collector’s club Wealth Solutions and the watchmaking brand. This time, the expert in rare works of art and alcohol has teamed up with a Swiss independent manufacturer, Louis Moinet, to create an exclusive timepiece with a drop of the oldest whisky in the world, Old Vatted Glenlivet 1862, inside. The watch was presented on April 8, at the Singapore Yacht Show 2017.

Louis Moinet Whisky Rose Gold Watch
Louis Moinet Whisky Watch incorporates the capsule containing the world’s oldest whiskey. This rare genuine spirit was used by the courtesy of Sukhinder Singh, a famous British collector of rare alcoholic beverages and owner of The Whisky Exchange. The bottle of Old Vatted Glenlivet 1862 was opened specially for this project last month in Warsaw, Poland.

The World’s Oldest Whiskey
This special edition timepiece is based on Louis Moinet’s Metropolis watch and it features a three-level dial with applied open-worked markers. A small seconds counter is located at the 9 o’clock position, while the capsule with the world’s oldest whiskey is set conversely at the 3 o’clock position.
The beating heart of this exceptional piece is the in-house designed and manufactured caliber LM45 automatic movement that operates at the rapid frequency of 28,800 beats per hour (4Hz). The movement is built on 22 jewels.

Louis Moinet Whisky Stainless Steel Watch
The Swiss watchmaker offered two versions of the Whisky Watch. The more affordable model is housed in the stainless steel case and it can be purchased for $14,500, while the 18-karat rose gold variant comes with the retail price of $45,000. The first version is produced in the limited series of 40 pieces, whilst the rose gold model is issued in the ultra-limited quantity of only 10 specimens worldwide.
This is not the first time that the Wealth Solutions joins forces with watchmaking companies to create special edition timepieces. So far, it has released the Cognac Watch containing a drop of the oldest cognac in the world, Gautier 1762, and the Rum Watch with a drop of the oldest rum in the world, Harewood 1780.
