A relatively new watchmaking brand, Laurent Ferrier, presents the new special edition timepiece for U.S.A. named Galet Traveller Cloisonné Enamel Dial. This newcomer that is designed and built in Geneva by Laurent Ferrier will surely delight all watch lovers in the USA, especially those who appreciate superlative watchmaking.

This special edition timepiece is powered with the same movement as the original Laurent Ferrier Galet Traveller – Laurent Ferrier’s micro-rotor equipped with the automatic mechanical caliber 230.01 which offers a dual-time zone indication and automatic date adjustment via 2 push pieces integrated into the left-hand side of the case. These pushers move the local time forwards or backwards in one-hour increments.

The self-winding mechanism can store enough power to keep the watch working for amazing 80 hours when fully charged. The 44 jewels movement measures 31.6mm in diameter and 5.8mm in thickness and it has a beating speed of 21,600 alternations per hour (3 Hz). The mechanism consists of 298 individual parts and features pawl-fitted micro-rotor and a double direct-impulse escapement that is fitted directly on to the balance.

As its name suggests, the new Laurent Ferrier timepiece features an enamel cloisonné dial which depicts the North American continent, designed by Mr. Ferrier himself. The image is surrounded by a circular satin-brushed midnight blue plate with gold indexes. The plate incorporates the window at 9 o’clock which displays the home time and the aperture at the 3 o’clock position that shows the current date. A date display automatically changes at midnight.

The newest member of the Laurent Ferrier’s watch family is housed in a round white gold case which measures 41mm in diameter and 12.6mm in thickness. The watch comes with a full-skin square-scale hand-stitched alligator strap.
