Several months after the Jaquet Droz Lady 8 Line of watches was officially unveiled at the Baselworld 2013, these high end jewelry timepieces are finally available in boutiques. The timing is perfect – right for Christmas and New Year!
Jaquet Droz’s lucky number 8 – the symbol of infinity and completeness!
Number 8 is very important for Jaquet Droz, considering the fact that many of their watches are made and conceptualized from the numeral 8. This is obvious on the case design, dial details or some symbolic elements of the watch. Jaquet Droz’s lucky number is always depicted on the dial of the Grande Seconde, and it is often found in many brand’s limited series. For the Lady 8 series, the bezel is intertwined with a gem set ribbon that accentuates the curves of the case, while either a pearl or a round precious stone highlights the coquettish nature of the watch.
The new Jaquet Droz Lady 8 is equipped with the Jaquet Droz 1153 self-winding mechanical movement with a double barrel that provides a power reserve of at least 68 hours when fully charged. The mechanism has the frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) and it boasts 22-karat white gold oscillating weight. Furthermore, the individual serial number of each timepiece is engraved on the case back.
The new Lady 8 series is available in three different variants in gem-set white, red gold and stainless steel. Each feminine case measures 35mm in diameter and boasts refined fluid lines.
For those of you who prefer an elegant white timepieces, the model with the referent number J014504570 might be a perfect choice. The red gold model (ref. J014503200) is quite unique thanks to the special engravings on its dial which add an art deco motif.
