The Schaffhausen-based company has created a special edition watch named Pilot’s Watch Chronograph Edition “Collectors’ Watch” (ref. IW387808) for the IWC’s forum members. This novelty is produced in the limited quantity of only 250 specimens, and at the moment, I do not have information how many pieces are still available. Important news for all forum members is that each timepiece is individually numbered on the back and IWC makes it possible to request a specific number.

The IWC’s “Collectors’ Watch” is housed in a round stainless steel case which measures 43mm in diameter. The case is protected with a sapphire crystal and constructed to provide water resistance of up to 60 meters (about 200 feet). There is also a recognizable fluted crown which is set at the 3 o’clock position, and two chronograph push buttons which are set at 2 and 4 o’clock positions.
The watch is powered by the in-house manufactured caliber 89365 mechanical chronograph movement that features a flyback function. This mechanism is capable to provide impressive 168 hours of power reserve when fully charged.

IWC Pilots Chronograph Edition Collectors Watch Front And Back
The new Pilot’s Watch Chronograph Edition “Collectors’ Watch” has a black dial with vintage-style hand-applied numerals and markers in rhodium with beige superluminova, hands in similar colors and a nice brown calfskin strap. The vintage-style creme color superluminova of dial details matches perfectly with sleek, black dial surface. Two chronograph sub-dials are well balanced and situated at 6 and 12 o’clock positions, while a date window is traditionally placed at the 3 o’clock position.
The forum’s moderator, Michal Friedberg, says: “it is the most exciting news in the history of our IWC Collectors’ Forum.“ About this special edition watch Friedberg added: “It has an authentic in-house chronograph movement, it uniquely carries a single date window and thanks to its soft iron inner case, it is highly antimagnetic. This watch represents IWC, and our forum, more than any other watch – past, present and possibly future.”
This special edition Pilot’s Watch Chronograph is mounted on a brown calfskin strap with white military-style stitching. It is secured to the wearer’s wrist with a stainless steel buckle. It can be purchased for 11,500 Swiss francs (approximately $12,850).
