This week, Swiss luxury watchmaker IWC Schaffhausen opened its first US Flagship Boutique in New York City. The new IWC boutique is the largest of its kind worldwide. At the 3,000-plus-square-foot, bi-level space, all watch aficionados can enjoy pieces which perfectly combine the finest Swiss craftsmanship and the best watch-making tradition with the demand for luxury watches in the United States.

This high-profile retail location is situated at 535 Madison Avenue. There you can see IWC’s classic collection of fine timepieces, as well as an assortment of limited-edition models.

“The opening of this Flagship Boutique in New York City marks a major milestone for IWC Schaffhausen,” says the CEO Georges Kern. “It not only reflects the success of the brand, but also pays tribute to the home country of the company’s founder and to our American heritage. We are looking forward to welcoming our customers at this marvelous location at Madison Avenue and inviting them to experience IWC’s spirit and philosophy.”

Interestingly, the IWC founder, Florentine Ariosto Jones, was born only a few miles away from the company’s new landmark. With new IWC boutique, the company’s rich tradition is returned to its roots in the heart of Manhattan’s luxury district.

Since 1868, the American entrepreneur, Florentine Jones, aimed to create masterpieces of haute horlogerie that combine precision engineering with exclusive design.

Today, the IWC product range comprises seven watch families: Aquatimer, Pilot’s Watches, Portofino, Ingenieur, Da Vinci, Vintage and Portuguese, as well as special edition models which pay tribute to outstanding individuals, promote social and ecological causes or are dedicated to one of the company’s many charitable partnerships. Each IWC’s watch family represents a different theme.

The New York City Flagship Boutique is not only a high-profile retail place for the IWC’s much-coveted watches, but also an expression of its core values, innovation, and engineering excellence.

This is the year of Pilot’s watches, so the people from IWC completely reworked the entire range of Pilot’s family. They uplifted this collection with more manufacturer movements and reworked some details of existing products.

Now you can find all these exquisite wristwatches and much more in IWC’s first US and New York City boutique located at 535 Madison Avenue.
