HYT unveils its latest timepiece which is inspired by the memorable XIX century vampire Legend and the mystical bloody eclipse of Transylvania. The new H1 Dracula DLC excels with immortal technology, featuring red fluid in its timekeeping capillaries and red-stained creases in its wristlet.
The newcomer with a killer look is housed in an attractive titanium black DLC case with shot-peened and satin-finished surfaces. The case which measures 48.8mm in diameter and 17.9mm in thickness incorporates a red rubber clad screw down crown.
Just like the original model, the HYT H1 Dracula DLC Watch boasts two flexible reservoirs fixed to the each end of the tube. The first one carries a fluid filled with fluorescein, whereas the other contains a transparent viscous fluid. To prevent gelling, alcohol has been added to the fluorescent liquid, whilst the transparent one has been mixed with oil. The fluorescent liquid advances to display the passage of time in hour increments and, once it reaches the 6 o’clock position, it draws backward to its starting position.
The Dracula inspired timepiece is equipped with an exclusive in-house made HYT caliber of the H1 collection with its retrograde red fluid hours, minutes, and seconds functions. The hand-wound mechanical movement provides no less than 65 hours of power reserve. It is built on 35 jewels and runs at the rapid frequency of 28,800 alternations per hour (4 Hz). The watch is constructed to resist water pressure up to 100 meters (about 330 feet).
A semi-openworked dark gray dial features vibrant bloody-red liquid. The red accents can also be found on the edge of the seconds sub-dial, on the power-reserve indicator which is located between 1 and 2 o’clock positions, as well as on the setting crown. The minutes are shown on the dial in a separate counter which is placed at the 12 o’clock position and which features luminescent hands and indices.
The HYT H1 Dracula DLC Watch (ref. 148-DL-21-RF-RU) is teamed with a black alligator leather strap with a red veining & titanium black DLC folding clasp. The watch is issued in a limited series of 50 specimens which are now available at Harrod’s in London. The retail price is $64,000. For any further information, I suggest you to visit the HYT website.
