To celebrate its 3rd anniversary, the Swiss independent luxury watchmaker has decided to launch the Colorblock collection consisting of three bold timepieces. These newcomers stay faithful to the first HYT H1 model which was presented in 2012, but they are enhanced with some new features, such as the black liquid developed for the H1 Full Gold Watch, or the minute hand that was created for the H1 Ghost Watch.
The new line consist of three eye-catching models in red, yellow and blue color which are intended for bold people with strong personality. Furthermore, they are created to attract wider range of customers considering their price which is for instance a third less than the next most expensive HYT model.
The capillary on the HYT H1 Colorblock model is partially coated in Superluminova which glows green in low light to illuminate it from below, thus offering the time to be read “by deduction” (the opaque black liquid blocks light, whilst the clear liquid allows it through). The black liquid has some unique properties which consider its viscosity, expansion coefficient and UV resistance.
The most distinctive model is the yellow one because it is the manufacturer’s trademark color. This version provides an amazing contrast with the anthracite case in Gun Metal PVD. On the other hand, the blue H1 Colorblock model is the most subtle, whereas the red version is the boldest one in the anniversary collection.
The beating heart of the new HYT H1 Colorblock Watch is the hi-beat hand-wound mechanical movement which operates at the frequency of 28,800 beats per hour (4 Hz). The manually wound mechanism provides the retrograde black fluidic hours, minutes, and seconds functions, as well as no less than 65 hours of autonomy. The movement finishes include hand-chamfered bridges adorned with Côtes de Genève and the rhodiumed bellows. The back view displays the inner beauty of the exclusive HYT caliber.
The H1 Colorblock timepiece is housed in a titanium gun metal PVD-coated case with brushed, shot-peened and satin-finished surfaces measuring 48.80mm in diameter and 17.90mm in thickness. The case is constructed to resist water pressure up to 100 meters (approximately 330 feet).
Each of three models is produced in the limited series of 10 pieces. They are teamed up with the matching canvas straps, fitted with pin buckles. As I have already mentioned, the retail price is quite affordable. Each H1 Colorblock model is priced $39,000.
